UHW-West reportedly videotaped the entire 2008 SEIU International Convention in Puerto Rico before they were placed in trusteeship by SEIU International.

We hope that those videos will be placed online so members can view actual convention events as they unfolded.

The FMPR, who operate using democratic principles (the union president earns the same salary as the rank and file members, plus each union decision under discussion is put to a vote by the entire membership) eventually won the right to retain their own union and not be absorbed by SEIU.
